Who
Lorain County Live is made by the Lorain Data project for residents, journalists, researchers, and anyone trying to understand what is happening nearby. Corrections stay welcome and visible.
What
The monitor brings together reviewed public weather, air, lake, river, earthquake, traffic, aircraft, and vessel observations in one source-linked dashboard. It shows freshness and gaps instead of pretending every feed is live.
Why
Useful local conditions are scattered across many public systems. This app makes those systems easier to read together while preserving their different meanings, update schedules, and limitations.
How
The browser receives a closed, public-safe projection rather than raw operational data. History is aggregate-only, source attribution stays visible, stale observations are labeled, and collection gaps are never backfilled with invented values. Full history and operational diagnostics remain private.
